Partnering for Your Child's Success

Tolland Public Schools are committed to making sure every student has the tools they need to succeed. We use a tiered support system to provide personalized academic help for all learners. Here’s a quick look at what that means for your child:

• What is Tiered Support? Our goal is to provide the right help, at the right time, for every single student. This could mean additional instruction on a specific skill in a small group or providing a new challenge to keep them engaged and growing.

• Support for Every Learner: This approach is for everyone. Whether a student needs a boost to catch up, practice to stay on track, or an extra challenge to soar ahead, our system provides personalized support to help every child build confidence and skills in ELA and Math.

• A Team Approach Our process is collaborative. Classroom teachers work closely with our interventionists to monitor student progress. If a student needs this additional support, this team works together to provide targeted support in a small group setting, always keeping you informed along the way.

• Meet Your Intervention Team! We have a wonderful team of interventionists and MTSS teachers dedicated to partnering with you and your child's teacher. They are your go-to resource for extra support in ELA and Math at each school:
