On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, Thurgood Marshall Academy Senior Cierra James learned that she had received the Stephen Joel Trachtenberg Scholarship which covers the full cost of attendance to attend George Washington University. The prestigious honor is awarded to only 10 high school seniors from DC every year. Cierra is TMA's 7th scholar from to receive the award .
