Benchmark Advance is what we use for our Language Arts Curriculum:
Each day we have a phonics lesson, a reading lesson, and a writing lesson.
We focus on a spelling pattern and sound for one whole week (the spelling words go along with these patterns).
Each unit is three weeks long. The first two weeks they have a comprehension test that they take on iPads. On the last week of the unit, they take the culminating unit test on paper (the first five unit tests I read to them).
You have access to Benchmark online. There is a link on our website where you can go and explore some of the online components (usernames are first name last name, and the password is TLCS1234)! There are leveled books they can read and phonics games they can play to practice the spelling pattern of the week (these go along with each unit).
