Provision Statement for PE

Welcome to our sports page. Bardwell Primary is committed to the provision of high quality, exciting and challenging PE and sporting events. With this in mind, we provide a range of PE opportunities delivered by a combination of staff and sports coaches.

We are keen to promote opportunities for children to participate in competitive sporting events both within the Tilian Partnership and through Thurston and Gipping Valley Sports Partnership. This gives children and young people an important foundation for participation in experiences in physical activities and sport and in preparation for a healthy, active and fulfilling lifestyle.

We aim to achieve a balanced programme of sporting activities, where Pupils develop knowledge, skills and understanding in:

• Athletic activities
• Dance
• Gymnastic activities
• Outdoor and indoor games

PE and School Sport Premium

PE and Sport Premium funding is designed to be used for schools to provide, develop and deliver sustainable high quality teaching in school physical education and sport.

At Bardwell , we aim to create a culture that encourages ALL children to be active and enjoy sport.

The children have a planned programme of PE activities. Alongside PE lessons, the children have the opportunity to join in a variety of after-school sports clubs.
