At The Pointe Dance Centre, we believe that wearing studio uniforms give students a sense of belonging to our family as well as creating an identity for our studio in the greater community. 

Please carefully read through the requirements for your dancers Dance Team uniform this season: 

We are excited to announce a change in our dance team’s uniform policy this season! We hope this change helps to enhance our team’s unity and professionalism, as well as continue to create a positive and welcoming environment for everyone. 

Failure to follow the uniform rules will not be told to the dancer, but will be quickly communicated to their parent. This uniform will be enforced year round with the only exception being a "free dress reward" given out to each group, if the entire group completes the month in uniform. These will be communicated via Remind.

Starting this season, our dancers will be wearing uniforms in a sleek, monochromatic color scheme of black, white, and grey. 

This change will benefit the team by enhancing visual unity, creating a professional aesthetic, and simplifying coordination with a black, white, and grey color scheme. These timeless colors will make uniforms easier to match, saving time and money, while also improving visual effects during performances. The matching uniforms will foster team spirit, boost confidence, and maintain the studio's body-positive approach by allowing dancers to choose attire within the studio palette. Overall, this change will help dancers look and feel their best, maximizing their potential and teamwork.

UNIFORM GUIDELINES: 

Shoes are available for purchase on the SoDanca x PDC website and at Footloose Dancewear.

ACRO -

ATTIRE: tight to skin black/white/grey activewear  (sports bra, tank top, t-shirt with bra underneath, shorts, leggings, etc.).

HAIR: pulled up into tight bun, no flyaways sticking to face. 

SHOES: barefoot. 

BALLET -

ATTIRE: Black bodysuit or biketard, wrap skirt or shorts. 

HAIR: pulled up into tight bun, no flyaways sticking to face. 

SHOES: Skin tone canvas ballet shoes, SoDanca Bliss (SD16). 

JAZZ - 

ATTIRE: tight to skin black/white/grey activewear (sports bra, tank top, t-shirt with bra underneath, shorts, leggings, etc.). NO loose clothing.

HAIR: pulled up into tight ponytail or bun, no flyaways sticking to face. 

SHOES: Skin tone half soles or tan canvas jazz shoes. SoDanca Malibu (BA41) or Bullet (BA45), and Jill/Jada (JZ75s and JZ75L).

TAP - 

ATTIRE: tight to skin black/white/grey activewear  (sports bra, tank top, t-shirt with bra underneath, shorts, leggings, etc.).

HAIR: pulled up into tight ponytail or bun, no flyaways sticking to face. 

SHOES: Black lace up tap shoes. SoDanca Tory (TA04)  or Bloch Lace Up Tap Shoes (S0301G/S0301L)   

LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY - 

ATTIRE: tight to skin black/white/grey activewear  (sports bra, tank top, t-shirt with bra underneath, shorts, leggings, etc.).

HAIR: pulled up into tight ponytail or bun, no flyaways sticking to face. 

SHOES: Skin tone half sole. SoDanca Malibu (BA41) or Bullet (BA45).

CONDITIONING/HIP HOP - 

ATTIRE: Black/white/grey activewear, can be loose fitting and baggy as long as logos are not too loud.

HAIR: pulled up into tight ponytail or bun, no flyaways sticking to face. 

SHOES: Barefoot, or white athletic sneaker.
