Attendance Policy

Your child’s attendance in class is very important to their Team. Please ensure that your child attends their classes on time each week and attends all the lessons planned for them. Not only do absences impact class learning goals and the quality of their competitive choreography, they also impact the friendship and teamwork principals we work hard to foster within our Teams. 

Weekly Classes

If you must miss a dance class it’s important that you schedule a make-up lesson right away. Any class of the same style at the same or lower level is acceptable as a make up lesson. Class absences can be recorded and make-up classes can be scheduled through the Parent Portal at any time. 

Rehearsals

Cannot be made up. When your dancer misses a rehearsal it impacts their confidence and the morale of the entire Team. Continued absenteeism may result in a dancer being asked to leave the Team, especially if it seems that there is a lack of appropriate interest and dedication. 

We also understand that some absences are unavoidable. Therefore we make every effort to keep your dancer on the Team in the face of unavoidable absences. Their choreographer may insist on a private lesson to catch the dancer up if they miss. We feel this is a good compromise in most cases. Private lessons are an additional charge of $40/half hour of instruction and are mandatory when requested by the instructor.  

How do I know which is a class and which is a rehearsal?

Make up classes can be scheduled through the Parent Portal. Rehearsals cannot.
