Instead of the Library being a Connection this year, it will operate on a flexible schedule. This means that teachers will sign up for times to bring their class to the library for all kinds of reasons including checkout, research, library lessons, and other activities. This schedule empowers teachers to utilize the library for their classes and have the library be more of a resource for students and teachers alike. It also allows for more time for the librarian to do tasks such as checking books in, shelving, and processing.Â
Only after they have turned in a signed Library Contract from their parent or guardian.
The library is currently closed for checkout until our collection has been properly unpacked and shelved. Stay tuned to see when the library will re-open for student checkouts.
Once we have our students' accounts synced to our library management system, Follett Accessit, you will be able to enjoy many features from home including: seeing if your child has a book checked out, renewing checkouts from home, and placing books on hold.
Books are chosen for the library based on popularity; diversity of authors, characters, and stories; curriculum, and library needs.
Yes! We have a growing collection of books in all of our target languages that are available to students and staff.
As per the Library Contract that must be signed before a student is to check out books, a student is responsible for any library books that become lost or damaged. In order to check out any more books, the lost/damaged book in question must be either paid for or replaced with another copy of the same book.
