Star 360 is an online assessment for math and language arts that provides insights and support for each student's grade level that can be used for guiding instruction. Each part of the STAR 360 assessment takes only approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. Students will take it at the beginning of the year within two weeks of enrollment and again in April or May at their home on their own.
Score Definitions
TK & K students take only one assessment (math and reading are combined into one assessment).
STAR reading is for all 1st-11th graders. Star Reading provides the students Lexile levels to be used in conjunction with the Accelerated Reader program and MyOn.
STAR math is for all 1st-11th graders. The math assessment has an instructional planning report that will determine the student’s equivalent grade level for each given standard. This highlights the student’s skill level in a clear and concise manner to determine which standards need additional instruction and practice.
Students will first complete their Star 360
HSTs will run the Instructional Planning Report to verify the student's zone of proximal development range (ZPD).
