THINGS TO PAck

Suitcase, or similar, plus a smaller day bag or rucksack for days out and about. No rucksacks with metal frames to be brought, please.
Two towels - one for use at the water park. Appropriate swimwear for Aqualud - please be aware that Bermuda style swim shorts for boys are not permitted under French Law. Only formal swimming trunks are allowed, ie swim briefs and aqua shorts. Pupils must wear BCS swimming costumes.
A change of clothes for five days, including casual clothes for evening activities around the Château. Be prepared for all weathers, especially rain! A pair of shoes that is comfortable for walking is vital, as is suitable nightwear.
A wash bag with toothbrush and toothpaste, tissues and other essentials.
A coat that is shower proof or a lightweight rain mac. Excessively heavy / winter coats are not desirable because they are uncomfortable if the weather is hot.
Sunglasses, high factor sunscreen. (All pupils will be given - and expected to wear - a "France 19" cap.)
Medicines, including travel sickness tablets, which MUST be handed to Mrs Carroll prior to departure.
Books, comics, cards, games to help pass the time on the journey.
Pen, pencils, crayons, sharpener and small notepad.
Camera - a digital camera is preferable to a disposable one. Very expensive cameras are discouraged.
A purse or wallet, ideally on a chain that can be clipped to a belt or trousers.
A basic watch is essential.
A couple of plastic carrier bags for dirty clothes or shoes.
A refillable water bottle.
Packed lunch for the first day in the day bag.

All personal items are brought at the owner’s risk. We strongly discourage you from bringing expensive items. Other than mobile phones (see note), pupils are not allowed to have in their possession any electronic equipment that is capable of connecting to the Internet. Pupils may not bring portable DVD players or films. Children may listen to music and play games (via headphones only), but parents are asked to ensure that the lyrics or content of the material is appropriate. Games must be age appropriate.

All clothing and electronic items must be named.
