The groups were tasked with building a simple electric generator using ceramic magnets and cooper wire. When it was assembled, they had to see it could get light a LED bulb by spinning the magnets. After this was accomplished, the teams designed water turbine or wind turbine to turn the magnets and produce electricity. Although this lab became frustrating at times for some groups, everyone had a generator that worked.
