Takapuna Grammar School Cricket

Takapuna Grammar School has a proud cricket history. Past pupils such as the iconic Bert Sutcliffe have a permanent home in our school, with the Bert Sutcliffe Lounge located in our sports complex and overlooking our No.1 cricket pitch.

Whether helping to grow and develop future Black Caps such as Jack Cowie, Danny Morrison, Paul Hitchcock and Richard Jones, providing a steady stream of North Harbour and Auckland representatives, or supporting teams whose aspiration is no more than enjoying a few hours of cricket on a Saturday morning, Takapuna Grammar School Cricket provides all players with a pathway.

Takapuna Grammar School offers cricket to both girls and boys. We have a close link with North Shore Cricket Club. Our vision is 'Aspiring to be North Shore's Premier School for Cricket'. With a strong Sports Department, and our dedicated school cricket committee behind the scenes, the programme is striving to give all students who choose to play, the very best support and coaching available.
