Tennis on Campus is a program that allows students to continue on with their tennis career and provides an alternative to the demands of varsity collegiate tennis. It is an intramural program that creates a team atmosphere and transitions high school and tournament players into hopeful league players.
The program is relevant to Texas CTA’s because it creates a pipeline for future players, volunteers with junior and NJTL programming and promotes team play at various levels. By tapping into TOC teams there can be an invaluable opportunity to create mentorship and volunteer opportunities for CTAs.
While CTAs don't run TOC programs directly, below is a list of Texas colleges and universities that run programs in some capacity.
If there is a school within your area that does not have a TOC program, our staff has next steps to help assist getting a program started (or restarted if there has been a lapse) as well as grant funding that can be applied for.

2021-2023 President, Baylor University
“Tennis on Campus has completely changed my college experience. I have been able to continue playing the sport I love at a competitive level while getting to travel, meet players from all around the nation, and bond so closely with my own team. As a leader of my club I have grown in my organization and communication skills, and have truly discovered what it means to be a team player. Baylor Club Tennis is incredibly thankful for the TOC staff for making this all possible, and I know we will never forget the amazing experiences that we have been a part of. I truly encourage anyone of any skill level to be a part of TOC.”
2022-2023 President, Texas A&M University
“TOC has given me the opportunity to continue my tennis career in college. My favorite part about it is getting to travel the state with my friends and compete in tournaments together. TOC really takes care of its players while providing the best possible experience for college students to continue playing tennis. My personal TOC experience has been one of the best highlights of my college career. Having the opportunity to travel around the state and compete in tournaments representing my university is something that I take pride in. I hope future college students with a passion for tennis take this opportunity to play in TOC tournaments because it is the best combination of social and competitive tennis I have been a part of."
TOC Alum, University of Arizona • USTA Intermountain
“If it wasn't for Tennis on Campus, I probably wouldn't be where I am today in my career, so TOC has played a big part of my life after college. I played my sophomore and junior year of college at the University of Arizona. I was able to meet so many people, still play competitively and travel. I started to really enjoy playing tennis (I grew up figure skating) and felt like I could really advance my skills, but also possibly work in tennis. I got to work at the facility we practiced at and started assisting in tournaments, teaching and working in the pro shop. From there led me to a career with USTA. I have now been with USTA in various roles from a District, Section and National level for eight years. So I have to thank TOC, a TOC alum and past coworker for where I am and how that has led me to where I am in life today and have such a passion for tennis. #GoWildcats"
