As one of the few states that offers team tennis year-round, middle and high school tennis teams play an important role within the Texas tennis ecosystem. Many coaches are deeply connected within their local tennis communities and wear various hats, and players become long-term investors in our sport through adult recreational programs like Tennis On Campus and USTA League.
While CTAs aren’t typically involved directly with school tennis teams, they can help teams get the resources they need and provide additional junior play opportunities through programs like NJTL, JTT, and junior tournaments. Getting involved with your local school tennis teams will help grow junior tennis in your community and create a network of future coaches, players, volunteers, and donors.
