UMass Lowell
TMHS and UMass Lowell have partnered to offer students unique opportunities for learning and growth by exploring the UMass Lowell Engineering laboratories. This experience offers a glimpse into college life and the potential career paths in Engineering. Our students engage in both one-day events and week-long camps, where they receive practical, hands-on learning experiences. These activities are designed to inspire a vision for their future possibilities.
Greater Lowell Workforce
Project Lead The Way
Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is a mission-driven organization that is transforming the learning experience for millions of PreK-12 students and thousands of teachers across the country. PLTW empowers students to develop in-demand, transportable knowledge and skills through pathways in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science. PLTW’s teacher training and resources support teachers as they engage their students in real-world learning. More than 12,000 elementary, middle, and high schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia offer PLTW programs.
In the academic year 2024-2025, TMHS is introducing two new PLTW courses: PLTW Engineering and Design, and PLTW Engineering Capstone. These additions will further enhance our already comprehensive engineering curriculum. Through PLTW, students will have the chance to apply theoretical knowledge, refine solutions, and tackle real-world problems with practical applications. They'll benefit from feedback provided by industry experts who will celebrate their achievements and mentor them toward excellence in their work.

Work-Based Learning Alliance
TMHS has partnered with the Work-Based Learning Alliance (WBLA) to offer all students the chance to participate in paid internships and industry projects. WBLA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high school students across the United States with access to quality-assured, career-connected learning experiences. These opportunities help students discover their passions, develop their skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the various career pathways open to them. Through these programs, our students will gain valuable experience that will help shape the workforce of tomorrow.
