Students will complete an academic and technical pathway that will expose them to hands-on learning, academic rigor, career development, and industry insights.
This program ensures inclusivity and accessibility for all students, incorporating built-in support mechanisms to enhance student success.
Opportunity to earn college credits through PLTW university partners, Dual Enrollment and AP courses.
Students who complete an Innovation Pathway successfully will be acknowledged in the graduation program, don a cord during the ceremony, and can list this achievement on their college resume.
Through partnerships with industries, Innovation Pathways provides real-world insight via guest speakers, field trips, and college visits, enhancing hands-on learning experiences.

Innovation Pathways in Engineering Requirements
All students must fill out an application and successfully complete coursework as outlined below:
Technical Courses- 2 Full Years
Engineering and Design PLTW (Project Lead The Way)* - full year
Introduction to Engineering & Product Design - semester
Robotics - semester
Dual Enrollment Intro to Computer Programming - semester
AP Computer Science PLTW
Principles of Biomedical Science PLTW - full year
Advanced Academic STEM Courses - 2 Full Years
Any Duel Enrollment STEM course
Any AP STEM course
Precalculus
Calculus
Capstone in Engineering
Engineering Capstone PLTW (Project Lead The Way)* full year
or
Traditional Senior Project: approved Engineering topic
or
Work Based Learning Alliance (WBLA) online paid internship (junior year)
*The PLTW Capstone course may count towards a technical course if the student completes the WBLA online internship during their junior year.
Enrichment Activities
All Innovation Pathways students are required to participate in our extra offerings: field trips, guest speakers, college visits etc.
Regular school attendance and good academic standing is a requirement to be successful in this program. Please reach out to Ms. Kelleher if you are struggling along the way. Our program has built in supports to help you be successful.
*All PLTW courses are weighted as a AP/DE course
There is no cost to join Innovation Pathways. However, there is a cost associated with Dual Enrollment and AP coursework. Please see the TMHS Program of Studies for more information.
