UMass Engineering Immersion Field Trip

On Tuesday, October 22, TMHS juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to attend an Engineering Immersion Field Trip at UMass Lowell. Students will depart the high school at 8:15 AM and return by 1:30 PM. This hands-on experience will provide students with an in-depth look at various engineering disciplines through activities and presentations that demonstrate key engineering concepts.

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming UMass Lowell Engineering Exploration Camp, scheduled from Monday, June 24th to Thursday, June 27th. There is no cost to attend!

Here’s what to expect:

• Monday to Wednesday: The camp will be held at UMass Lowell, running each day from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Transportation will be provided from TMHS, ensuring everyone can attend easily.

• Thursday: We're hosting a special showcase right here at TMHS from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. It's a great opportunity to see what everyone has learned and created during the camp.

For those who have previously participated, there may be opportunities to return as paid mentors. We're still finalizing these details, so please check in with Ms. Kelleher if you’re interested.

UMass Lowell labs or faculty will be hiring high school interns to conduct research or other project work related to the life sciences area. As an intern, you will work six to eight weeks between June-August 2024. You will receive a stipend to work up to 240 hours (30-40 hrs/week) at $17/hour.
