The 18-Day Campaign is spearheaded by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) in partnership with various government agencies and stakeholders. It aims to raise awareness on women’s rights, promote gender equality, and strengthen laws and programs that protect women from violence.
TESDA-RTC Tuguegarao affirmed its support for the initiative by displaying advocacy materials, conducting awareness activities, and encouraging its trainees and personnel to be advocates of a VAW-free community.
The observance underscores the importance of collective action in protecting women and ensuring that homes, schools, workplaces, and communities are safe spaces free from abuse and discrimination.
The 4th Quarter RTC Advisory Council Meeting convened on December 2, 2024, at the FMTA Library, presided over by Chairman Ms. Evelyn Velasco. RTC Administrator Mr. Venancio T. To further strengthen industry partnerships, the council endorsed adding representatives from the ICT and Electronics sectors to support the Innovation Center. The meeting concluded with the awarding of Certificates of Appreciation and honoraria, reaffirming the council’s dedication to fostering innovation and advancing regional skills development.
The Regional Training Center actively participated in the annual National Women’s Month Celebration under the theme "Lipunang patas sa bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng kababaihan, patutunayan."
The event featured various activities to honor women’s contributions, promote gender equality, and foster an inclusive workplace. It commenced on March 11 with a poster and slogan-making contest, where trainees showcased their creativity in advocating women's empowerment. On March 20, Trainee’s Day emphasized inclusivity through a dance contest and interactive activities. Additionally, RTC employees enjoyed relaxing foot spa sessions and Hilot massages as a gesture of appreciation for their dedication.
