District Data Validation

The Data Initiative for Environmental and Climate Action in California's TK–12 Schools strives to provide the most accurate data possible given the challenges of developing a new database that draws from varied sources.

All of our data comes from public sources, with the majority of our general school information and equity information coming from the CDE reports. Due to lag time in the CDE releasing data, we may not have the most current information for each district. The main sources and the current date range of data that we have access to is listed in the table below.

We hope to be transparent about our methods and welcome those working directly for and/or with each district to review their data and update any inaccuracies.

The video to the right provides instructions on how to use the tools below to view and validate the current data for each district. We make updates as new data become available, so support in ensuring the highest level of accuracy possible is greatly appreciated.
