Matt Nover - Principal
Matt Nover is happy to serve as the Principal of Temple Hatikvah Religious School. He earned two Masters degrees from the Jewish Theological Seminary (Hebrew Bible and Jewish Education), and is currently in the JTS Rabbinical school, as well as serving an internship at Rutgers University Hillel in New Brunswick, NJ. He lives in Highland Park, NJ with his wife, Heather, and daughter, Jane. When he is not studying Torah or singing High Holiday tunes, Matt enjoys reading, bike riding, and playing with his dog.
Max DuBoff
Max is a junior at Rutgers University in New Brunswick majoring in Philosophy and Classics. He currently serves as Koach (Conservative Community) Co-Chair at Rutgers Hillel and as President of Kol Halayla, Rutgers' Jewish a cappella group. He has previously held Jewish educational positions at Camp Ramah in the Rockies and with HaZamir: The International Jewish Choir. When not learning about Judaism, he enjoys board games, singing, and deep conversations about the meaning of life.
Lisa Klein
Lisa (Morah Eliezrah or Morah Lisa) is excited to join the staff at Temple Hatikvah Religious School. She has been a substitute teacher at THRS for several years and is in her 4th year of teaching the monthly B'Yachad program. Lisa holds three NJ teaching certificates, earned a Masters of Science in Education, and is a substitute teacher at several local districts. She is also a mom of three children, two of whom have graduated from THRS. She is a Girl Scout volunteer as well as a long time member of Temple Hatikvah's Education Committee, and is the recent past Education Director. Lisa and her family live in Flanders and have been members of Temple Hatikvah for about 9 years.
Jacqueline Segal – K-2
Jacqueline Segal (Morah Avrah) is starting her fifth year teaching Alef Bet at Temple Hatikvah. She is a N.J. certified teacher in elementary education, special education and middle school English. In addition to Hebrew School, she also teaches English language arts to middle school students with special needs. Jacqueline (Morah Avrah) enjoys celebrating Jewish holidays with her family, reading books and writing stories. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge of Judaism and love of learning with her Alef Bet students!
Bev Shulman
Bev Schulman is beginning her 16th year teaching Judaic and Hebrew studies here at Temple Hatikvah. Through out her 30 year career she has been a Religious school principal and has taught kindergarten through 10 grades. She attended Rutgers University. She continued her education by taking courses at the JEA in Whippany where she studied Judaic subjects, Hebrew and Family Education. She enjoys creating Family Education programs and has written many for synagogue school in the Metro West community.
