Good Morning Everyone!
We hope you had a great spring break. It's hard to believe it, but the year is almost over. We only have a couple of weeks left. When we originally planned the calendar, May 6 was our last day, because the following Sundays were Holiday Weekends (Mother's Day, Shavuot, Memorial Day). Last week, we spoke to a number of parents and found out that almost half of the school would not be able to attend our graduation ceremony on May 6, which doesn't really work for a school wide ceremony.
Since we wanted everyone to attend, and had some snow days we did not use, we are instead cancelling school on May 6, and moving our Moving up Day Ceremony to Tuesday, May 1, 5:00 PM- 6:00 PM. We hope you understand, and that you can make it to our program.
Since we are changing the calendar, we wanted to make sure you all knew the schedule for the rest of the year.
Sunday April 22 - Class as Normal
Tuesday April 24 - Class as Normal
Friday, April 27 - 5/6 Class Service
Sunday April 29 - Class as Normal
Tuesday May 1 - Abbreviated Day. Graduation Ceremony is from 5-6 PM. No Classes
Saturday May 5 - Junior Congregation
Sunday May 6 - Classes Cancelled - Enjoy your Summer!
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Best,
Moreh Matt and the THRS Faculty

Hi Everyone, and welcome to another great year at THRS (Temple Hatikvah Religious School)! We saw the Upper School on Tuesday, and can't wait to see everyone all together this Sunday.
Please take a look around our new website. While we will still be sending emails, we hope that this will be your main portal to hear about what is happening in the classrooms.
We are excited to welcome a number of new faculty members to our program, including Rabbi Zucker, Max Duboff and Hannah Wernick. We're also excited to welcome Lisa Klein as a full faculty member. We are in the second year of our curriculum rotation, and it is all new! We'll cover everything from Hebrew, to Jews in the News, to Torah Cartoons. Stay tuned for more info...
A couple of housekeeping notes:
Looking for other ways to get involved at Temple Hatikvah? Come check out Temple Hatikvah's Sisterhood this Sunday morning after drop-off.
The Sisterhood is kicking off the new year with its 2017 Sisterhood Welcome Breakfast, happening at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary -- and all women are invited to attend. Guest speaker, Christine Murphy, will also be presenting “Genealogy 101: How to Start Researching Your Family History”, at 10 a.m. Sisterhood is a strong part of Temple Hatikvah as a social and fundraising entity, and helps to better our community and religious school, so we hope you'll come and find out how to get involved!
We can't wait to see you
-Matt Nover, and the THRS Faculty

Welcome everyone, to the new website for Temple Hatikvah Religious School! We heard your feedback, and are working to make it a reality.
One of the main pieces that parents wanted to change is communication. To fix that, we will be having a weekly blog, and will have teachers upload a summary of their classes every other week, highlighting student activities and weekly goals for the classes.
Hopefully, this will allow us to communicate with you all, without overflowing your inboxes.
This website is still under construction, but should be completed and updating by the Open House on September 10!. We hope to see you then!
