In my opinion, Telluride is one of the coolest places in Colorado. There are many cool and beautiful views in Telluride, but I have a personal favorite. It’s a big rock on the side of the road with a brisk view of Mount Wilson and Mount Sunshine. I have many great memories of this place and look forward to more. 

The best memory I have was when I had the idea to walk there from my house. That evening was supposed to be a really pretty sunset, so I grabbed my dog's leash and we started walking. I walked pretty fast so I wouldn’t miss the pretty colors shimmering behind Mount Wilson. I got there just in time, sat down on the rock, and started to admire the pretty colors. I threw my dog's ball for her until the sunset was done, and had a great time. After a while, the sun had set, so I started walking home. On my way home, I thought to myself about how great it was to grow up next to such an appealing mountain.

However, I am not the only one to travel through this part of the world. One day many years ago,  a pioneer was traveling to Telluride for the first time. He was traveling there looking for gold and stumbled upon a rock that looked like a great place to rest his feet after a long day. He admired the mountain as the sun reflected off the still, slightly snowy, mountains. The breeze felt like a big giant blowing down on his face as he sat there thinking about how great the view was. He hoped everyone he knew could one day witness the beauty he had seen that day.

With the bright orange colors of the sun in the sky and the birds flying all around me, I sit and say this is my special place. To sum it all up, Telluride is a very marvelous place, and there are a lot of great things about it. If you were to visit my favorite place, it would make it way better.
