A brief history about me...

I was born in Coney Island, Brooklyn where I spent the first  years of my life happily playing in the lots and on the beach.  When I was six, my family moved to Long Island, where I spent my formative years.  Again we lived closed to the beach, so I have many happy memories of summer days on Jones Beach with my family and friends.

I went to the University of Albany, where I earned a Bachelors Degree in Social Work.  I worked in Albany for the next three years, teaching social workers how to use a computer system.  Later I worked on the redesign of that system.

I got a job at an international shipping company (United States Lines) which is how I came to live in New Jersey.  This was an exciting job, as I was able to travel in the US and Europe implementing the company's new computer systems.  While working at this company, I earned an MBA from Rutgers University, which lead me to my next job as a management consultant at Ernst & Young.  I spent many exciting years at E&Y helping many businesses operate more efficiently.

Along the line, I met and married my husband.  We moved to Bergen County.   He is a Bergen County Boy from Fair Lawn, so it was inevitable that we wound up here.  Our daughter was born in 1996, which helped me re-think my priorities.

After my daughter was born, I decided to change careers.  I went back to school to become a teacher.  I attended FDU to earn a Masters in Teaching and then another Masters degree in Educational Leadership and an additional Certificate in Instructional Technology.   Yes, as they say, I have more degrees than a thermometer!  But all of this makes me the best teacher that I can be!
