Over the past 13 years, Teach For India has been through 3 Strategic Phases.
Over the past 13 years, Teach For India has been through 3 Strategic Phases.
Phase 1
(2009 - 2013)
We built a clear and undeniable momentum.
Phase 2
(2013 - 2017)
We focused on deepening our impact.
Phase 3
(2017 - 2022)
We challenged ourselves to think about both depth and scale.
Phase 4
(2022 onwards!)
Phase 4 planning has been an year-long journey for us!
The process took place in multiple phases - anchored in some key questions that we tried to answer along the way.
Planning
We started by looking back on our past processes to design the next one.
What did we learn from the past processes?
What worked/didn’t work?
What do we want for India’s children in 2030?
What needs to happen for this to come alive?
What should Teach For India do directly?
Our Alumni shared their perspectives on these questions and shed light on what's possible, and what isn't. Read a summary of their responses here!
What should we strengthen about our Fellowship?
How to unleash the potential of our Alumni Movement?
How do we innovate better and faster, to accelerate our progress to our mission and vision?
Here's a short video capturing insights from our 60+ experts!
What did we learn from experts?
What do we want for our Program, Alumni and beyond?
During our All Staff Retreat in 2020, we asked our Staff members about their hopes and dreams for Teach For India for the next 10 years. Some glimpses of what they shared:
"TFI Alumnus turned Central Education Minister mandates ‘India and I’ curriculum!"
"40% In Indian Civil Services/State and Central Governments are now occupied by Teach For India Alumni!"
"Priyanka, a TFI student Alumna, leads Teach For India as its CEO!"
"45% students in high school today say teaching is their first career choice!"
"TFI University successful in making teaching aspirational!"
How do we Strengthen, Scale, Match, Advocate and Act Collectively?
We also spoke to some our Students on the role they can play in making some of these priorities a reality. Here's what they had to say!
How will our org. structure, fundraising, technology, administration and branding enable us in Phase 4?
And, we are not done yet!
Over the next few months, we will be finalizing team-level strategies for the coming year and putting our monitoring and evaluation systems in place for our ambitious goals in Phase 4.
