Pathways in Technology: Early Childhood Education
Early College High School - Program of Choice
Watch this video to learn more about the Poly P-Tech program!
What is P-Tech?
Pathways to Technology Early College High School (PTECH) students also have the opportunity to earn an associate degree along with their high school diploma – tuition-free. In addition to the opportunities offered through Early College High School, P-TECH schools provide work-based learning experiences at every grade level by establishing agreements with industry partners. Through internships and apprenticeships, students may earn credentials such as licenses and certificates aligned to their chosen pathway.
Opportunities are available to students participating in a P-TECH school: 1. Students will learn employment and career expectations firsthand through relationships forged with industry partners. 2. Students will earn both college hours and industry certifications in their chosen P-TECH pathway. 3. Students will visit industry partner job sites and work directly with industry representatives while in high school.
Polytechnic High School's P-Tech program is in Early Childhood Education and students will be able to take courses related to the education field. Students will partner with FWISD and the University of North Texas to learn hands-on experience in Early Childhood Education as they prepare themselves for a future job in that field!
