Collegiate Testing
Qualify for college programs!
Collegiate testing is offered at Poly at NO COST to not only prepare students for the rigors of college, but also allow them to qualify for college entrance and programs. See a list below of the collegiate testing we offer as well as dates for the 2022-2023 school year.
TSIA 2.0 - Taken every year in high school.
The TSIA is a college placement exam needed to take many Dual Credit courses during high school, it also allowed for students to skip remedial courses when they get to college. Students of ALL grade levels will take the TSIA 2.0 at various times throughout the year, however individual students may request to take it as many times as needed until they pass with the Advanced Academics coordinator.

Texas College Bridge - Completed during senior year.
"With Texas College Bridge, high school juniors and seniors can take online college preparatory courses, strengthening their English and math skills prior to enrolling in college and setting them on a path to postsecondary success. Texas College Bridge courses are personalized, self-paced and teacher facilitated—allowing students to focus on skills they need and skip those they have already mastered, with teacher support along the way. Students receive additional support and resources to help them complete college transition milestones. Plus, they can earn a TSI exemption at more than 50 partnering colleges and universities across Texas. "

SAT School Day - Completed in the Spring of 11th grade.
"The SAT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. The SAT is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test created and administered by the College Board.
The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student's readiness for college, and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants. College admissions officers will review standardized test scores alongside your high school GPA, the classes you took in high school, letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors, extracurricular activities, admissions interviews, and personal essays. How important SAT scores are in the college application process varies from school to school."
