Auditions are open to ALL current Paschal students in 9th - 12th grade!
To be considered for a role you must complete the Audition Form and attend all audition dates.
Audition Form submission is DUE NO LATER THAN 4:30 PM the first day of auditions.
Fall Production Audition Itinerary
Day 1:
Choreography Workshop - Ralph Miller Auditorium Stage
Vocal Auditions - Choir Room (Vocal Selections)
Students will begin on the Ralph Miller Auditiorium stage learning the audition choreography. Students will be called, one at a time, to present their vocal audition in the choir room. When not presenting their vocal audition, students will be on the Ralph Miller Stage learning and rehearsing the audition choreography. Students are free to leave once they have presented their vocal audition and once they feel confident in their mastery of the choreography.
Day 2:
Choreography Performance
Script Reads (See Sides)
Students will begin presenting the choreography in groups of 5-6. Once everyone has presented the choreography, students will be called in to perform the provided sides from the scripts. Please be prepared with sides from both scripts. Once students have presented their sides they are free to go.
Day 3:
If necessary, Callbacks will be held.
Students should be prepared to perform the choreography, present any of the vocal cuts, perform any of the provided sides, and perform additional cold reads from the scripts.
Ovation Musical Audition Itinerary
Day 1:
Vocal Auditions - Miriam Todd Theatre
Students will be called, one at a time, to present their vocal audition in the Miriam Todd Theatre.
Vocal auditions should be a 32 bar cut from a song of the student's choosing. This song should be similar to the style of Ovation musical, but not from Ovation musical itself. You will need to provide a link to an accompaniment track.
Day 2:
Cold Reads
Students will be called in to perform cold readings from the Ovation musical script. Once students have presented their cold read they are free to go (as long as school has ended).
Varsity Play Audition Itinerary
Day 1:
Cold Reads - Miriam Todd Theatre
Cold Reads from the script
Students will begin in the Miriam Todd theatre. Each student should have their audition form already filled out online before arriving at auditions. Stage Management will confirm that all auditioning student have turned in their audition form, Mr. Whitehead will give additional instructions as well as provide cold read scripts and then students will move to Mr. Weesner's room until they are called to perform their monologues. When not presenting their monologues, students are free to rehearse monologues and cold read scenes in Mr. Weesner's Room and the Hallways surrounding the Miriam Todd Theatre. After all Monologues have been seen, cold read scenes will be presented. Once a student has completed any cold read scenes they wish to perform, they are free to go home.
Spring Productions Audition Itinerary
Day 1
One Act Essay Due
Monologue Presentations - Miriam Todd Theatre (Monologue Selections)

*Auditions will be coordinated by the stage manager. Any audition requests (wanting to go as early as possible, wanting to wait until the end, etc.) should be directed to them and not the director.

Rehearsals are required for all Company Members. A detailed Rehearsal Schedule is provided at the first rehearsal. Dates and times are subject to change. Students should work diligently to clear their calendar of conflicts, and provide a list of unavoidable conflicts to the stage manager at the first rehearsal.
