Introduction to myON
FWISD has provided myON Reading and myON News for all elementary school students this year. myON is a wonderful resource for digital articles and books with a suite of tools to help students. The tools include audio read alongs, an embedded dictionary, and highlighting and notation options. There are thousands of books in both fiction and nonfiction covering a variety of reading levels and interests. All students can access this program for free on an internet capable device using the directions below.
We want to ensure all students are taking advantage of this resource at home and at school. About 98% of the books in myON have the option to have the text read aloud as the words are highlighted. This is great practice for beginning readers. myON books are also great for students and parents to read together on a device at home. It’s a full library at your fingertips!
Our goal as a campus is to get all students reading myON every day. This will be tracked through myON reports.
