No matter where you are coming from, or what you are joining us for,
welcome to our Duke Family!
Duke of Connaught has a long tradition in East Toronto. In 1912, the school was built next to the historic Ashbridge House on land that had been the orchard of the Ashbridge Estate. Woodfield Senior School was added in the late 1950s. The Junior and Senior schools combined in 1989 to form Duke of Connaught Public School. Today, we are a vibrant JK to Grade Eight school that reflects the diversity and richness of contemporary Toronto.
Duke proudly hosts over 900 students in over 6 different programs and a variety of entry points: English and French Immersion JK - Grade 8, French Extended Programming Grades 5-8, and Middle Immersion French Grade 4, 5 (growing each year until we have Gr 4-8 inclusive), an Autism Spectrum Disorder Intensive Support Program, currently with two classrooms ranging Gr 1-6, and a Gifted Intensive Support Program consisting of six classrooms for students in Grades 4-8. Students also join our Duke community for Gr 7 & 8 to participate in our French or English programs from other community feeder schools.
