Applying to the CCA Program At Yorkdale:
Admission to the CCA Program at Yorkdale is a competitive process and consists of 3 steps.
STEP 1: Eligibility
To Apply for the CCA Program you must have the following minimum prerequisite:
ENG3C 60% or higher within the last 5 years
OR
a competitive mark on the Yorkdale English Assessment Test. To book your assessment test click here
Please note:
we do not accept Private College transcripts.
these requirements are the minimum required but will not necessarily make you competitive with other applicants for spots in the program
STEP 2: Interview/Quiz
Applicants will complete a program based Quiz and interview Form.
(Currently this is an online interview/quiz, but when allowed it will return to being in-person)
STEP 3: Acceptance
Acceptance will be based on the English level and Quiz/Interview results.
Not everyone who applies will be accepted.
Please Note: If you are not accepted you can upgrade the prerequisite or you can take the Introduction to Healthcare Program which is a Pre-CCA pathway to the CCA Progam.
Please Note:
All applicants must be able to receive a clear Vulnerable Sector Search done through the police. if you are unable to receive a clear VSS you will not be able to go to placement and therefore will be unable to earn a certificate
if you have charges or convictions please contact the police to have your fingerprints deleted or pursue a Pardon

All applicants must be able to perform the duties of a CCA. ex. bending, lifting, squatting, cleaning diapers etc.
