How Can My Guidance Counsellor Support?

Personal and Interpersonal Counselling

You can talk with a counsellor confidentially about emotional, social, financial, family and health issues. Your counsellor may continue with short-term counselling and/or make a referral to professional support staff or an outside agency.

If a student discloses information which presents harm to the student or the student harming others, the counsellor must report to authorities.

Academic Help

Counsellors can recommend strategies to help with learning and skill development and help make arrangements with teachers and peer tutors.
