Textbook:

The textbook used in this course is Science Perspectives 10 (published by Nelson). Textbooks will be available for in-class use when needed. Please check with your Science teacher if you wish to borrow a textbook for home use. Lost or unreturned textbooks will incur a replacement charge. 

Extra Help:

Each science teacher has different help times - please check with your teacher for availability, or arrange extra help by asking your teacher for an appointment.

Missed Class:

In the event of illness, please check with your teacher or consult the site for missed handouts . You are responsible for all work missed while you are ill. In the event of a prolonged illness, please speak to your teacher to make arrangements for  getting you back on track.

Missed Test or Quiz or Lab:

In the event that you are ill and miss an assessment or lab, you must provide your teacher with a written note from your parent/ guardian. You must make arrangements with your teacher prior to the next class to make up the missed work.

If you know you are going to be absent for an appointment you must tell your teacher BEFORE you miss class and make arrangements to cover the work.

Note: It is important that students are present for all evaluations. Students are permitted to make up one missed lab, test or quiz per term.
