Five Sense Poem
A Five senses poem describes a topic using the five senses. Five senses poems use similes. A Simile compares two things using the words “like” or “as.”
Directions:

Line 1: Tell what the topic looks like
Line 2: Tell what the topic tastes like
Line 3: Tell what the topic sounds like
Line 3: Tell what the topic smells like
Line 4: Tell what the topic feels like

Summer
Summer looks like the sun in a cloudless sky.
Summer tastes like cold chocolate ice cream.
Summer sounds like birds chirping in the trees.
Summer smells like flowers growing in a garden.
Summer feels hot and warm.

The alphabet poem uses all 26 letters in the alphabet. First, write all of the letters of the alphabet on the left side of their paper. Then for each letter, write a either a word or phrase that focuses on a single topic.
