Grade 3

June 22- June 25

Dear Parents/ Guardians and Students,

WE DID IT! It was a challenging year, ended abruptly and learning from home wasn't easy, but WE DID IT!! Thank you all for hanging in there, doing your work and attending the google meets. It was great to see most of you during our google meet last week, we hope to see more friends. This week, we will meet again on the same day (Wednesday at 10am) this will be our last google meet for this school year. We will also give time during the meeting for any of you to share work that you have done during the week, and share a read aloud through Epic.

SPIRIT DAY: This week we encourage you all to wear your PJs to our final google meet, as we celebrate in style the end of grade 3. We encourage you to share what was grade 3 like and your goals for grade 4 when we meet.

There will be no work assigned for next week, as summer begins, but the site will still be available for you to redo or get caught up, these work will help you get ready for grade 4.

EPIC IS FREE ALL SUMMER! We hope are able to get onto Epic for reading activities. There are many books on these websites that you can get access to.You can use the same class code it keep reading. Parents: please have your child read to you and write for 15-30 minutes every day, If mistakes are made during reading, such as choppy reading or grammatical mistakes, have him or her read it again to you. Or alternately, read it to him or her, then have your child read it again. This kind of repetition helps to build up their reading skills. We hope that reading can be a regular enjoyable part of your family routine. Reading over the summer months is very important to keep up with your reading and get a head."the more you read the more you know the more you know the further you will go", also hope you are able to get onto Prodigy. Prodigy is a great math game. The user names and passwords will remain the same.

Please also visit your Knowledgehook account and complete the missions. For our friends who have earned medals or badge, your parents need to apply for your award before July 15, 2020. You have up until June 30th, 2020 to try and earn an award. GOOD LUCK! Keep going, work hard, never get tired, never give up!
