October Scholarships
The Loran Awards
The Loran Award recognizes students who demonstrate leadership, character, perseverance and a commitment to their community. Up to 36 awards are available valued at $100,000 over four years.
Deadline: October 11th by 8pm, 2023
A fully funded university experience at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Aimed at driven, inquisitive, leaders of today.

University of Toronto National Scholarship
The U of T National Scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate superior academic performance, original and creative thought and exceptional extra-curricular achievement. The award covers tuition, incidental and residence fees for up to four years of undergraduate study.
Deadline: October 19th, 2023
Available to families of Burger King employees and any Gr. 12 student. Criteria includes: academic achievement, involvement in extracurricular activities, work experience and financial need. Application opens Oct. 16th.

November Scholarships
TD Scholarships for Community Leadership
The TD Scholarship for Community Leadership recognizes students who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to community leadership. TD Scholarship for Community Leadership recipients receive up to $70,000 for tuition and living expenses as well as opportunities for paid summer employment, peer networking and mentorship.
Deadline: November 15th by 1pm, 2023.
TD Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples
Scholarships awarded to First Nation, Metis and Inuit students pursuing a college diploma or university degree. 25 scholarships are awarded annually, worth up to $60,000.

School Sponsored U of T Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship (International Students only)
The University of Toronto is looking for exceptional international students in their graduating year who have made a significant impact on their school or community. Students selected as winners of the scholarship will receive financial support for tuition, books, residence, and incidental fees for the four years they study at U of T. One student will be selected by the Monarch Park Scholarship Committee as the nominee for this scholarship.

The Queen's Chancellor's Scholarship is a major admission award recognizing the following:

Pursuing studies in college, university, or the trades? There is one application for all of Indspire’s bursaries, scholarships, and awards (with a few exceptions that you’ll see below). You only need to complete the application once to be considered for all applicable bursaries, scholarships, and awards. September 2021 to August 2022 academic year.

OSSTF Student Achievement Awards
OSSTF/FEESO invites student writers and artists to submit creative work exploring this year’s theme: This Hits Different: The Power of Language. Judging will be held at the school, district, regional and provincial levels. Eleven provincial winners will be awarded $1000 each in prizes and will be invited to our Annual General Meeting in March, where a video showcasing their work will be screened.

December Scholarships
Applicants are eligible to win up to $28,000 dispersed over 4 years. Recipients are selected for their dedication to the humanitarian ideals of Terry Fox, overcoming adversity, as well as their pursuit of excellence in all aspects of life - civic, academic and athletic.

The Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarship provides financial assistance to students demonstrating integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. $10, 000 scholarships will be awarded to 10 students.

January Scholarships
School Sponsored Western University National Scholarship Program
The National Scholarship program recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance, a passion for learning, and exhibit creative and innovative thought. A strong commitment to community involvement and extracurriculars are also emphasized.

School Sponsored Schulich Leader Scholarship
Schulich Leader Scholarships are entrance scholarships awarded to high achieving students entering the Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field. Students must demonstrate two of the following criteria: academic excellence, leadership (entrepreneurial or community) or financial need.

February Scholarships
Schulich Builders Scholarships for Skilled Trades
Five students will be nominated by Monarch Park Collegiate to win up to $40,000 to put towards their skilled trades post-secondary education.

Young Women in Public Affairs Award - Zonta International
The Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award recognizes young women, ages 16-19, who demonstrate leadership skills and commitment to public service and civic causes.

March Scholarships
19The PCK Diversity Scholarship Program
Offered to youth from the Black, Caribbean and Indigenous communities enrolling in a science or engineering program at an accredited Ontario college or university. Must demonstrate financial need.

The Merit Award Bursary Program
The Merit Award Bursary is awarded to students in Gr. 11 and 12 who demonstrate a commitment to schooling, extracurriculars and community involvement.
Deadline to request a reference: March 19 2024

The Horatio Alger Scholarship (Gr. 11 Students)
150 Scholarships of up to $10,000 awarded to students who meet the following criteria: financial need, display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, strong commitment to pursue a bachelor’s degree at an
accredited university, maintain a minimum grade percentage of 70.

African Heritage Month at the TDSB - Know Your Worth Scholarship
Graduating students of African Heritage will be able to apply for three prizes: Kujichagulia Academic Award, Kuumba Creative Award, and Umoja Leadership Award. Each award has a prize of $2,000.00. There are different entry deadlines and submission requirements. Students may apply for more than one award.

May/June/July/August Scholarships

Presented to eight outstanding students who have achieved excellence in the following areas: academics, athletics, the arts, community Services, defence of the environment, dignity of life, innovation, college award.
Consideration will be given to an additional applicant who applies for any of the award categories and who is enrolled to attend the University of Toronto Scarborough.
Deadline: May 20th, 2024
Two students will be selected based on their academic standing, voluntary community involvement, leadership, character, aspiration to make a difference. Each recipient will receive $1,000 per year for the duration of their studies, up to a maximum of 4 years (subject to renewal requirements).

Promoting the inclusion of women in STEM and STEM related academic programs in postsecondary. There are a maximum of ten (10) awards. Each award is valued at $4,500 CAD.

The Bill 7 Award for 2SLGBTQI+ Students
This scholarship is for students who identify as LGBTQ2SI+ and who have demonstrated financial need. Must be attending a post-secondary institution next year. Last year, 19 scholarships of $4000 and three recurring multi-year scholarship of $4000 per year were awarded.

A) SCHOOL AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS:
The MPC Scholarship Committee awards a variety of scholarships each year at Commencement. Students who would like to be considered for this year's awards and scholarships should submit a Summary of Activities. For more information on how to complete this requirement, please refer to the Summary of Activities Exemplar. The Monarch Park Scholarship Committee will use these submissions to help guide their award selections.

The UWC Scholarship recognizes students who are in good academic standing, involved in extracurriculars and are passionate about contributing to their community. Students must identify as female.
One student will be selected by the Monarch Park Scholarship Committee as the nominee for this scholarship.

School Sponsored - The Alliance of Jamaican Alumni Associations (AJAA) Bursary
AJAA is awarding bursaries to students of Jamaican descent attending a postsecondary institution next year.

nominated by school
attending postsecondary institution next year
evidence of community service or involvement

Toronto Police Service 55 Division CPLC Valerie Mah Scholarship
This $500 bursary is awarded to graduating students demonstrating commitment to extracurricular activities and community service. Students must be attending postsecondary next year.

We are pleased to announce the 2021-2022 Know Your Worth (KYW) Scholarship which offers three financial awards valued at $2,000 each:
Kujichagulia Academic Award (Due Friday, May 13, 2022, @ 11:59pm)
Kuumba Creative Award, and (Due Friday April 22, 2022, @ 11:59pm)
Umoja Leadership Award (Due Friday April 22, 2022, @11:59pm)
These awards will be available to support a graduating student applicant of African heritage who practices academic excellence, and/or demonstrates strong creative abilities, and/or leadership skills with the ambition to aid in the social progression of their community.

The PCK Diversity Scholarship Program is offered to youth from the Black, African, Caribbean and
Indigenous communities to:
Recognize current social inequalities & inequities, and create programs to promote positive changes
Assist youth from low-income families, who have been traditionally underrepresented in intellectual property education
Promote understanding and awareness of intellectual property system within the targeted group
