Mental Health Resources

Help Ahead - free service connecting families with mental health counselling services in Toronto for anyone under the age of 18.  Also provides access to same-day virtual "walk-in" counselling.

Kids Help Phone - the website provides information on a wide variety of mental health topics.  Youth are able to connect with immediate help online or over the phone.  Youth are also able to search for long term support in the community.

Toronto East Youth Wellness Hub - Local centre steps from MPC !! Offers support for youth aged 12-25 in mental health, substance use, sexual health, employment, housing and much more.  Drop ins and appointments available.  See website for more information and drop in hours.

Strides - offers a wide variety of programming for children, youth and families ranging from ADHD and Autism programs, to mental health counselling.


Across Boundaries - provides mental health and addiction services for racialized communities.


Anxiety Canada - contains information to explain anxiety as well as online resources and strategies to help manage anxiety.


Wellness Together Canada  - create a free account to access resources, free comprehensive courses and apps related to mental health and substance use support.


The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)  - this website contains extensive resources and free online tutorials on a wide variety of mental health conditions and disorders.


Central Toronto Youth Services - offers a wide variety of individual and group programming for youth.


BounceBack - Free CBT based telephone counselling services and online videos.  


Youthdale - community organization serving youth struggling with mental health.  Services include short-term intervention, youth and family counselling, treatment programs and more.


Hong Fook - provides mental health wellness and counselling services to the Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean and Southeast Asian Community.  Also has psychiatric assessment and treatment services.


Jack.org - contains a wide variety of resources aimed at youth, ranging from mental health and self care to accessing community support.  The website also contains culturally responsive resources. 

2SLGBTQ+ Resources

Central Toronto Youth Services - offers a wide variety of programming and counselling services for LGBTQ+ youth and their families.

Skylark  - provides programming for LGBTQ+ youth and their families.  Runs an after school program called The Studio which is a youth-driven after school drop in programming celebrating LGBTQ+ youth.

Anishnawbe Health Toronto - has a dedicated counsellor available for Two-Spirit/Trans* counselling. 

Friends of Ruby - supports the LGBTQ+ community by providing mental health and wellness counselling, housing support and drop in programming.

The 519 - offers a wide variety of LGBQT+ programming ranging from mental health counselling to sport and recreation programming.

Resources for Black Youth

Black Youth Helpline - connects Black youth with professional services and/or community supports addressing mental health, stay in school initiatives, family support and more.  

RITES for Black and African-Canadian Youth at Central Toronto Youth Services - a culturally specific, identity development initiative that supports the empowerment of Black and African-Canadian youth.

Black Queer Youth (BQY) - a weekly drop-in group offered by Supporting Our Youth (SOY) celebrating Black queer and trans spectrum youth. 

Across Boundaries - provides mental health and addiction services for racialized communities.

Resources for Indigenous Youth

Brighter Days - a free virtual program offered through Kids Help Phone administered by an Indigenous Wellness Specialist.

Anishnawbe Health Toronto - offers a range of services for Indigenous youth ranging from walk-in counselling to child and family therapy.

CAMH Aboriginal Mental Health and Wellness Resources  - this community resource offers contact information and descriptions of a wide variety of wellness resources for indigenous youth and their families.

Hope for Wellness Help Line  - 24 hours a day counselling and crisis intervention to all Indigenous peoples across Canada via phone or online chat.  Call the toll-free Help Line at 1-855-242-3310 or online chat.

Native Child and Family Services - provides culture-based counselling services, resources and youth programming separate from their child welfare division.
