UNIVERSITY AND COLLEGE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
PFPS is a unique initiative that pairs high school students with trained University/College mentors, guiding them throughout the academic year. The program focuses on key developmental assets such as planning and decision-making, self-esteem, sense of purpose, and a positive outlook on their personal future. Our goal is to inspire students to envision their post-secondary path with confidence and clarity.
The benefits of participating in PFPS include:
· Volunteer Hours: Students can earn up to 26 hours of volunteer experience.
· Immersive Post-Secondary Experience: Participants will take part in campus tours, mock lectures, and get a glimpse of campus life.
· Networking: Students will connect with post-secondary mentors who offer guidance and support.
· Workshops: Topics include résumé building and financial literacy to prepare students for post-secondary life.
· Scholarship Eligibility: Participants can apply for various BBBST scholarships.
· Personalized Support: Ongoing mentorship and guidance from BBBST staff, mentors, and post-secondary partners.
· Certificate & Reference Letter: Upon completing the program, participants will receive a certificate and a reference letter.
