Courageous Conversation

Each month CYS staff engage in conversations about confronting racial discrimination. This initiative challenges staff to reflect on their own bias and prejudice and how it impacts the work we engage in. The intention is for our staff to start or continue to disrupt the systems and barriers that hold the students we work with back.

The Child and Youth Services Poster Contest

in support of Children’s Mental Health Week

In 2015, members of the Child and Youth Services Team came together and organized a poster contest for all TDSB students.  The goal of the poster contest is to raise awareness of mental health, reduce the stigma, and support one another.

We have held the poster contest every year since during Children’s Mental Health Week.  Each year we choose a different theme that supports Children’s Mental Health and Wellbeing.

We are grateful to all of the school communities and students who have participated. We love your creativity and the beautiful art you create when you express yourselves.

Together we can raise awareness of mental health, reduce the stigma, and support one another!
