What is Tour Builder?
Tour Builder is a new way to show people the places you've visited and the experiences you had along the way using Google Earth. It lets you pick the locations right on the map, add in photos, text, and video, and then share your creation.
Key Points:
As a teacher, you can create a field trip in Tour Builder. You can add links, images, key locations within a interactive map.
You will need to sign in with your Google Account
Does not work on an iPad or a Chromebook yet.
What inspired the creation of Tour Builder?
Google originally created Tour Builder to give veterans a way to record all the places that military service has taken them, and preserve their stories and memories as a legacy for their families. But we also thought it could be a useful tool for anyone with a story to tell, so we made it available to everyone.
Here is one my 3rd graders and I have done as a class book this year. (I did it with last year's class also.) It goes along with a project we do through Journey North called Mystery Class. Resource from Laurie Anastasio
