Mr. Cellucci is the Head of the Science Department at St. Joan. The following is his list of what makes teaching Science so great. Here are Mr. Celucci's TOP 5 REASONS why he loves teaching science:
Seeing students' minds open to Scientific thought and the Scientific process
Seeing students become critical thinkers
Seeing students make connections between themselves and the world around them
Seeing students develop respect for the world around them based on what they have learned
Seeing students come back to visit and witnessing how successful they have been throughout their post-secondary studies or careers
The best thing about studying Science is how easily you can experience the real-life processes happening around us. Here are a few ways students experience their knowledge:
Science Labs
Contests
Project-Based Learning
Guest speakers
Technology-Integrated Work
Self-Directed Inquiry Projects
