Workshop

In the session, we will discuss challenges student-athletes face in trying to navigate between sports and speaking up for Social Justice. Students will also learn how to advocate for themselves in the classroom and schools. As well, students will understand their voice has POWER when choosing to be “More than just an athlete” to create change for other students, colleagues, and themselves.

Workshop

Critical analysis of how Black men are portrayed in the media. This workshop will unpack Black stereotypes plus how said generalizations are spread and reinforced. It will explore how these depictions impact both Blacks and non-Blacks with an emphasis on how it affects the nia/purpose of the former.
