After eight years serving St Mother Teresa Catholic Academy I can say that I am honoured to be part of this exemplary learning community. This gem of a school is a dynamic combination of caring educators, support staff, dedicated parents and, of course you, the students who we all so deeply care about. Serving you and doing everything to ensure that all of you reach your maximum potential has and continues to be an honour.
I am one of those very fortunate who is lucky enough to have found a passion in my life, a vocation, and work to do on this earth that is not a burden, but a joy that keeps giving me self-actualization and fulfillment. As an administrator, I realize that I can affect change, and more importantly, that I can improve the teaching and learning environment in the schools placed in my care. This can be achieved with the support of all staff members, parents, Superintendent of Education, School Trustee, Local Parish, and local community partnerships. Along the way, on this journey of Catholic education, I had and continue to meet wonderful students from different enriched cultures and backgrounds, colleagues, and parents who have enriched my life as an educator.
St Oscar Romero said "we are workers, not master builders; ministers, not messiahs. We are prophets of a future not our own." Thank you to all of you for walking with me on this educational journey. I thank God and St. Mother Teresa who have given the opportunity to serve SMT once again. We often say that our students are messages of a future that we will not inhabit, and I hope that SMT students will be messengers of justice and peace.
We look forward to welcoming you into our School community. See you in September.
