The Marketing Fair is an annual event that serves as the culminating activity for the Grade 11 Marketing Class. Soon after the course begins, students form companies where they learn what it takes to bring a product to the marketplace.
The Marketing Fair is an annual event that serves as the culminating activity for the Grade 11 Marketing Class. Soon after the course begins, students form companies where they learn what it takes to bring a product to the marketplace.
They work through idea generation, marketing research, product development, financial planning, advertising, and selling. Students use their own funds to produce and market their product which makes them a little more responsible in their financial decision making.

After all expenses are paid, the class pools all the profit and donates the funds to a charity that is chosen at the start of the project. The lesson learned is that good planning, business sense, and hard work pays off! Creativity, teamwork and competition were common themes throughout the year.

Students feel a sense of satisfaction in knowing that they competed well within the marketplace while contributing to a worthy cause. The Marketing Fair is often a fond memory for many of our graduates.
