Am I eligible to join the TBP Chicago Alumni Chapter?

If you satisfy the three conditions below:

(1) you have been initiated into Tau Beta Pi as a student

(2) you have graduated from your undergraduate institution

(3) you live or work in the greater Chicagoland area

-- then you're eligible!  Almost all our TBP Chicago Alumni events are also open to guests of the Chicago Alumni members, undergraduate TBP members, as well as Tau Bates visiting the area. We will verify your TBP membership.  

How much does it cost?

Nothing! We do have a pay-as-you-order policy at most events and will clearly advertise when an event will cost you some dough.  We put out a "tip jar" at events and ask members to throw in a dollar bill (this helps with incidental expenses -- national dues, website costs, physical banners). In general, being an alumni member comes at no cost!

If you are interested in becoming an "active member", the annual member dues are $10. 

Active Member benefits include:

• Voting rights for official chapter business (such as convention ratification)

• Eligible to be considered to represent Chicago Alumni Chapter at the TBP Annual National Convention

• Eligible for an officer position on the executive board
