Trebuchet

This is one of the passion projects I chose to do. We were instructed to create a Trebuchet, which is a french catapult that uses weight rather than elasticity to fire projectiles. It was first designed in 4th century BC, China. Used to reduce fortresses.

My Trebuchet is made out of chopsticks, 5 minute glue and incompetence. I had the right idea but the Trebuchet still only fired the projectile (a USB flash drive) about 2 cm. This is because I needed a heavier counterweight than the scissors I was originally using. I figured this out after recording this video but decided against re-filming as I had other work to do.
