Food being served
In this experiment we tried to see what people preferred better, New Zealand food vs American food. We bought chocolate, lollies, noodles, and drinks from the different countries. We then got two teachers to interview, while they taste-tested the food.
Our group interviewed our taste testers, Libby Hainsworth and Miss Hopper. Libby was very honest about which one she liked; all of them were from New Zealand. But that wasn't the case with Miss Hopper. She thought that the American chocolate was better.
After we interviewed Libby Hainsworth and Mrs Hopper, we got there feedback and concluded that they both prefered New Zealand snacks better. They found the American snacks to artficial and sweet. On the other hand with Nz snacks it was very tasty and not to sweet but not to bitter.

Ingredients
Banana syrup (You can get from New world also Woolworths).
milk
whipped cream (optional)
cocoa powder (optional)
Equipment
Some sort of bottle (we didn't have a blender so we used a water bottle).
Cup(s)
Spoon(s)
Instructions
Get your equipment and ingredients.
Open your bottle and add the milk.
After the milk, add some of the banana syrup (we estimated it and it still turned out delicious!)
Put the lid on your bottle then shake until it gets a bit frothy, you can check the texture by having a little in between shaking the ingredients.
When you like the texture of the milkshake pour your milkshake in your cup.
This is optional but you can add some whipped cream and cocoa powder to top it off.
This is just how we made ours but you can use a blender and add some vanilla Ice cream if you like. Now that you're finished, you can enjoy your milkshake!

Mr Skipworth is T.I.S.'s Spec Cooking teacher. In his class, students love to make amazing meals like: cheesecake, pumpkin pie, burgers, oven fries, and many more tasty foods.
We spoke to him to find out where he gets his amazing recipes from and why these yummy foods are good for students.
These questions are what asked Mr Skipworth:
1. Why did you choose the recipes that you think are good for students?
2. Do you change any recipes to make them easier for students?
3. What made you choose the cheesecake recipe?
4. What made you decide to work at T.I.S?

1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup chocolate chips
Chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)
Prepare the Microwave-Safe Mug or Dish: Choose a microwave-safe mug or small microwave-safe dish (about 8 ounces in size) to cook your brownie in. Make sure it's lightly greased or sprayed with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Melt the Butter: Place the butter in the mug or dish and microwave it for about 30-40 seconds until melted.
Mix the Ingredients: To the melted butter, add the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir well until everything is combined and smooth.
Add Vanilla and Egg: Stir in the vanilla extract until well incorporated, then add the egg and mix until the mixture is smooth.
Incorporate Flour: Add the all-purpose flour to the mixture and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Optional Add-Ins: If desired, fold in the chocolate chips or chopped nuts into the batter.
Microwave: Place the mug or dish in the microwave and cook on high for about 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes. The cooking time may vary depending on your microwave's wattage, so keep an eye on it to avoid overcooking. The brownie should look set on top but still slightly gooey in the center.
Cool and Enjoy: Allow the brownie to cool for a minute or two before digging in. You can enjoy it straight from the mug or dish, or transfer it to a plate, top with ice-cream, whipped cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
Enjoy your quick and delicious brownie!
