As students grow older, they experience significant changes in their academic and social expectations. This change can be daunting, but Lower and Middle School functions as the bridge that helps students make a successful transition. Our curriculum is designed to build upon the foundational skills and knowledge acquired in younger years while also preparing students for the more rigorous academic expectations later in their school life. Students are encouraged to develop critical thinking skills, embrace diverse perspectives, and cultivate a sense of responsibility towards the world around them.
Additionally, Grades 5 - 8 provide a supportive and nurturing environment where students can explore their interests, develop their talents, and build strong relationships with their peers and teachers. Students are empowered to take ownership of their learning and become independent learners, a vital skill that will serve them well throughout their educational journey.
As students prepare to transition from Lower and Middle to Upper School, Grades 5 - 8 continue to play a crucial role in their development. Students are encouraged to take on leadership roles, become active members of the school community, and develop the skills necessary to succeed. The Middle School supports students in developing effective study habits, time management, and organizational skills.
Our Lower and Middle School serves as a vital link to the Upper School and provides a supportive and nurturing environment where students can develop academically, socially, and emotionally. We play a crucial role in preparing students for onward academic and social expectations, ensuring that they are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for success.
