Physical Characteristics 

 Male capybaras are 3.2 to 4.2 feet long, weigh 60-174 pounds, and are 1.6 to 2 feet at shoulder height. 

Female capybaras are 3.6 to 4.7 feet long, weigh 75 to 182 pounds, and are 2.0 to 2.4 at shoulder height.
