Capybaras are herbivores, and use their long, sharp teeth for grazing grass and water plants. An adult capybara can eat 6-8 pounds of grass per day. Capybara eat reeds, grains, melons, and squash.
Capybaras are found in Panama, Columbia, Venezuela, etc. They are semi-aquatic and will spend most of their time in dense vegetation around lakes, rivers, ponds, marshes, and swamps.
Brazil has the most capybaras in the world, with around 1.2 million.
