Prescription Medications: If prescription medications (including epinephrine, inhalers. and insulin) need to be taken at school, a permission form must be completed and signed by the prescribing physician. Medications should be brought in by the parent/guardian and NOT the student, with the exception of Epinephrine, Inhalers, and Insulin (which may be carried by the student with permission from the prescribing provider). All medications must be in a labeled container with the student's name. Please refer to the Tamworth School Board Policy JLCD.
Keep your child home when ill: If a fever is >100, students should stay home until they are fever-free for 24 hours (without fever reducing medication). They should also stay home if the student is experiencing vomiting and/or diarrhea; or if directed by a medical provider to stay home. Please see page 7 of the student family handbook.
Health Requirements for Entry to School: include State-Required Immunizations and Physical Examination per Tamworth School Board Policy JLCB
