About Academic Advising

The Texas A&M University Advisors and Counselors is an affiliated program of NACADA: The Global Community For Academic Advising.  We therefore endorse and support the definitions and recommendations that NACADA has made regarding the scope, content, and purpose of advising.

The NACADA Board of Directors endorses four documents that champion the educational role of academic advising in a diverse world.  The four "Pillar" documents of academic advising are:
